EAST HAVEN WINS DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP

SITE DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITY

THE SITE DIRECTOR WILL ASSEMBLE THE MANAGERS ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULE START TIME.  THEY WILL HAVE A COIN TOSS FOR THE DETERMINATION OF HOME TEAM AND DUGOUT

 The team traveling the further distance to the site shall call the toss.

Winner of the coin toss gets his/her choice of home/visiting team OR which dugout they wish be in NOT BOTH!!!!  

                                                                                    No team shall be allowed on the infield area of the field for ONE (1) hour prior to game time or as
     determined by the Site Director.  This will allow the Site Director ample time to have the infield
     prepared.

                                          Infield warm up:
              Visiting team – 45 minutes prior to game time.
               Home team – 30 minutes prior to game time.

                                    Each team will provide the Site Director or Official Scorer with 3 copies of a line-up no later than 30 minutes prior to game time.  One copy for the official scorer, one copy for the opposing team and one copy for the home plate umpire at the pre-game conference if requested. The line-up becomes official at the pre-game conference when presented to the home plate umpire.  The line-up will include:

 First & last name, number and position of each starting player

 First & last name and number of all substitute players

 First & last name of the manager and coaches (3 maximum)

Directions: available on the CT. State LL website

Dress code: All players must be in uniforms with Little League patches. Managers and Coaches may wear Bermuda style shorts or long pants. Please, no cut offs or gym shorts. Golf style collared shirts must be worn per CT. state rules.

For each game, each team must bring 3 new Little League approved game balls.

For the first game that your team plays, the person carrying the affidavit, copies of birth certificates, copies of the three residency proofs per player, and the map must arrive at the site 90 minutes before game time. This will give the Tournament Director time to check the paperwork. All necessary waivers and combined team forms must also be with the affidavit. After the first game, the teams are asked to arrive at the site at least 45 minutes before the game for the flip. 30 minutes before the game begins, the visiting team will take infield. 20 minutes before the game starts, the home team will take infield. Please have one lineup for the Tournament Director, one for the opposing team and one for the announcer.

Concession Stand: There is a full service concession stand with wonderful volunteers. Please encourage your fans to purchase their food and beverages there. There are also flush toilets.

Rules: Little League tournament rules and CT. State rules must be followed.

The District 5 staff, the Board of Directors Girls Softball of Wallingford Little League and the volunteers are happy to welcome you to the State tournament. If you need any assistance or if you have any questions, please ask, and we will be happy to assist you.

Encourage your players and fans to demonstrate good sportsmanship, and please have fun!
