Dave Ruotolo called the meeting to order at 8:09 PM at West Haven Little League Field House

Roll Call:

Present: Dave Ruotolo, Denis Haley, Ralph Milone, Branford, Milford International, Milford National Lou Gehrig, Annex, East Haven, Hamden, Pop Smith, North Branford, Max Sinoway, Orange, Bethwood, Cheshire, West Haven

Absent: Cheshire Challengers

Secretary’s Report – Motion to accept by Scott Mitchell, seconded by Sal Punzo, all in favor.

Treasurer’s Report - Motion to accept by Paul Gusmano, seconded by Kip Taylor, all in favor.

Dave reported that the 50/70 program may change next year to include younger players.

All Star scheduled were discussed and will be official when posted.

Dave discussed that all affidavits would be done on Sunday, June 27. Schedule below.

11-12 Baseball – Sunday, June 27 at 3:00 PM Rules at 4:00 PM

10-11 Baseball – Sunday, June 27 at 4:30 PM Rules at 5:30 PM
9-10 Baseball – Sunday, June 27 at 6:00 PM Rules at 5:30 PM

Dave asked all leagues to send Denis Haley the umpires they are recommending for all stars.

Dave announced that there would be post season tournaments again this year and to let him know so schedules can be finalized.

There was a pitcher safety rule discussed for the baseball and softball coach pitch division.

Next meeting will be our annual meeting in October.

    Dave announced that the district would add $150.00 to the $250.00 donation for Gary Chambers and send a player from Pop Smith to summer camp in Bristol.

    Dave Ruotolo called the meeting to order at 7:34 PM at High Plains Community Center, Orange, Connecticut

    Present: Dave Ruotolo, Denis Haley, Bill Hoffman, Steve LaForte, Ralph Milone, Branford Cheshire, Milford International, Hamden, Pop Smith, North Branford, Max Sinoway, Orange, West Haven, Bethwood and East Haven

    Absent: Annex and Milford National, Cheshire Challengers

    Secretary’s Report – Motion to accept by Mike Savino, seconded by Steve LaForte, all in favor.

    Treasurer’s Report - Motion to accept by Mike Dziczkowski, seconded by Scott Mitchell, all in favor.

    New Business:

    Dave gave a report on the congress results.

    Dave reaffirmed the rule requiring each game to have an umpire at least 18 years of age.

    Dave mentioned the new 50/70 program. North Branford, East Haven and Cheshire are interested.

    The softball leagues met prior to the regular meeting and was very successful.

    The tournament dates were reviewed.

    Dave asked each league what all star teams they would be entering.

    Dave Ruotolo called the meeting to order at 6:45 PM at Reno’s Restaurant, Orange, Connecticut

                         Roll Call:

  •                          Present: Dave Ruotolo, Denis Haley, Bill Hoffman, Steve LaForte, Ralph Milone, Annex, Branford Cheshire, Milford                          International, Hamden, Pop Smith, North Branford, Max Sinoway, Orange, West Haven, Bethwood and East Haven

  •      Absent: Milford National, Cheshire Challengers

  •                                    Secretary’s Report – Motion to accept by Harry Sudhoff, seconded by Gary Chambers, all in favor.

                                       Treasurer’s Report - Motion to accept by Frank Vieira, seconded by John MacDonnell, all in favor.

    New Business:

    Elliot Schwebel and Luis Lerma from Sports Supply Group made a presentation of equipment.

    Denis advised all leagues that there would be 3 umpire clinics for umpires doing all stars.

    Dave mentioned the new 50/70 program and asked all leagues if they were interested.

    A motion was made, seconded and approved by all members to rename the Seabreeze Tournament to the Connecticut Little League District 4 Presents the 8th Annual Seabreeze Classic – In Memory of Anthony F. Mentone.

    Dave told all present that he is aware of the problem with having at least one umpire on the field who is 18 years old. It is hoped that a game director will suffice.

    Dave announced there would be a softball meeting in early February.

    Dave told the leagues he would email them the start dates for the all stars.

    A review of the congress agenda was made and the membership voted to agree on all items except Item 2. New rule II(I) and Item 7. catcher to pitcher.

    Ralph Milone suggested that the district pay for one member from each league to go to the PCA Clinic in North Branford.
