Minutes of November 17, 2011

 

  Dave Ruotolo called the Annual Meeting and Dinner to order at 6:37 PM at the Elm Diner in West Haven

                                 Roll Call:

                                Present:             Dave Ruotolo, Ralph Milone, Steve LaForte, Bill Hoffman, Branford, Milford International, Milford National, Annex, East Haven, Hamden, North Branford, Orange, West Haven, Cheshire, Bethwood
 

                    Absent:              Denis Haley, Max Sinoway, Pop Smith and Cheshire Challengers

 

                    Secretary’s Report – Motion to accept by Frank Vieira, seconded by Raul Goodwin, all in favor.

 

                    Treasurer’s Report - Motion to accept by Tim Fox, seconded by Shawn Murray, all in favor.         

                                   

      New Business:

 

      Dave announced all tournaments were very successful.

 

      Dave announced a new rule for 2012.  Major Baseball, dropped 3rd strike not caught, the batter    may run provided 1st base is unoccupied with less than two outs.

    

      Dave asked the league if the third Wednesday of the month would be ok for meetings as Denis Haley has assumed a position with his church that prevents him from attending meeting on the third Thursday.   All leagues approved.
 

      The next meeting will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012.

 

      Meeting adjourned at 6:42 PM.

Minutes of May 17, 2011

Dave Ruotolo called the meeting to order at 8:10 PM at the West Haven Little League Field House

Roll Call:

Present: Dave Ruotolo, Denis Haley, Ralph Milone, Steve LaForte, Branford, Milford National, Annex, East Haven, Hamden, North Branford, Max Sinoway, Orange, West Haven, Cheshire, Bethwood, Milford International

Absent: Pop Smith and Cheshire Challengers

Secretary’s Report – Motion to accept by Dennis Boucher, seconded by Frank Vieira, all in favor.

Treasurer’s Report - Motion to accept by Frank Vieira, seconded by Mike Kmietek, all in favor.

New Business:

Dave announced the change of dates for 11-12 baseball all stars.

                                        Dave announced what post season tournaments we would have this year.

Dave reminded each league to get the tournament application forms to him.

Rosters are due in Williamsport by June 8.

Joe Candelora reports the 50/70 program is going well.

Denis asked the league to submit their all star umpire list to him.

All leagues were reminded about the restriction of numbers or logos on helmets.

Minutes of APRIL 21 2011

Dave Ruotolo called the meeting to order at 8:07 PM at the West Haven Little League Field House

Roll Call:

Present: Dave Ruotolo, Branford, Milford National, Annex, East Haven, Hamden, North Branford, Max Sinoway, Orange, West Haven, and Cheshire

Absent: Milford International, Bethwood and Cheshire Challengers

Secretary’s Report – Motion to accept by Shawn Murray, seconded by Sal Punzo, all in favor.

Treasurer’s Report - Motion to accept by Dave Crow, seconded by Andy Solowada, all in favor.

New Business:

Dave announced the dates for 11-12 baseball all stars for 9-10, 10-11 and 11-12 baseball.

                                        Dave asked the softball league what teams they would be entering in all stars.

Dave asked the leagues to forward the tournament applications to him.

The 50/70 program will start May 1 with 6 teams.

Pairs were done for the 9-10, 10-11, and 11-12 baseball all stars.

Next meeting will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011.

Minutes of MARCH 17, 2011

Dave Ruotolo called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM at the West Haven Little League Field House

Roll Call:

Present: Dave Ruotolo, Denis Haley, Branford, Milford International, Annex, East Haven, Hamden, North Branford, Max Sinoway, Orange, West Haven, Bethwood and Cheshire

Absent: Pop Smith, Milford National and Cheshire Challengers

Secretary’s Report – Motion to accept by Mike Driczkowski, seconded by Frank Vieira, all in favor.

Treasurer’s Report - Motion to accept by Scott Mitchell, seconded by Chuck Coyle, all in favor.

New Business:

Dave announced the dates for 11-12 baseball all stars 6/29/11. 11-12 softball 6/25 or 6/26/11

Dave explained the ban on composite bats and to look on the Little League website for updates on approved bats.

The district was at 100% again for ASAP. The district’s 12th consecutive year for 100%.

Dave asked the leagues if they thought the online chartering. Most leagues agreed.

Dave told the softball leagues he will have a separate meeting for softball to be announced.

Milford International is the only league of 14 not to submit their constitution.

Dave asked what league would have a 50/70 program. North Branford – 2 teams; Max Sinoway – 1 team possibly 2; Orange – 2 teams; West Haven – 1 team; The cost per team will be $350.00 for field usage. $35.00 for each of two umpires paid at the field.

Dave announced the next meeting would be Thursday, April 21, 2011.
