2023 TEAM INSTRUCTIONS


TEAMS MUST HAVE PERMISSION FROM THEIR LEAGUE PRESIDENTS TO PARTICIPATE.

The Seabreeze Classic will be administered by Connecticut District 4
Little League.  All questions, problems and decisions will be
made by the Seabreeze Classic Tournament Committee. 
All decisions made by this committee will be FINAL. 
Any team or manager who contacts another authority will
immediately be disqualified from further competition and
no refund of money will be given. 

DECORUM

Managers, Coaches, and Players: will show their utmost respect for opposing players,
coaches, umpires and tournament officials. 

Any Manager or Coach ejected from any game will forfeit their eligibility to participate in the next scheduled game.  Any Manager, Coach, Player, or Parent who is ejected must leave the site immediately, and may not be at the site of the next game.   If the offense is of a serious nature (determined by the umpires and tournament officials) the participant may be removed from the remainder of the tournament.

Any Manager, Coach, or Parent ejected must leave the playing site,
and are not permitted to be at the site for the next game.
Any Player ejected must leave the field and dugout area, they may sit with their parent,
or a coach will have to sit with them and the team will have one less coach.

Any Manager or Coach ejected will not be replaced for the next game by an alternate coach.

7 YEAR OLDS WHO PLAY IN SOFTBALL FARMS WILL BE PERMITTED TO PLAY IN THE CP TOURNAMENT AS THEY CANNOT PLAY ALL-STARS OR SEABREEZE 8-10'S. THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY THE POSITION OF PITCHER. 8 YEAR OLDS WHO PLAY IN THE FARMS FOR THE SEASON WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE.


1. ALL GAMES ARE 6 INNINGS (THERE ARE NO EXTRA INNINGS).
UNLESS SHORTENED BY THE MERCY RULE.
15 RUNS AFTER 3
10 RUNS AFTER 4
8 RUNS AFTER 5

THERE IS A 1 HR 45 MINUTE TIME LIMIT.
NO INNING MAY START AFTER 1 1/2 HOURS !!

2. MAXIMUM 5 COACHES PER TEAM.

3. CONTINUOUS BATTING ORDER WILL BE USED.

4. 5 RUNS OR 3 OUTS PER INNING
(EXCEPT 6TH INNING 3 OUTS OR ONE TIME THROUGH THE BATTING ORDER.)

5. 4 STRIKES MAXIMUM PER BATTER, FOUL BALL ON 4TH STRIKE IS NOT AN OUT.
THIS STARTS WITH FIRST PITCH. 

6. CATCHER DOES NOT HAVE TO BE IN A CROUCH TO CATCH FOUL POP UP.

7. PLAYER IN PITCHERS POSITION MUST WEAR A FULL BATTING HELMET.

8. 4 OUTFIELDER MAXIMUM FOR 10 PLAYERS ON THE FIELD.

9. 1 BASE ON OVERTHROW TO ANY BASE.
1 BASE ON OVERTHROW FROM THE OUTFIELD.
PLAY IS OVER WHEN BALL IS IN POSESSION OF
INFIELDER OR OUTFIELDER RUNS THE BALL TO THE INFIELD.
PLAYER MAY ADVANCE TO THE BASE THEY ARE
RUNNING TO. 
EX: PLAYER RUNNING BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND MAY 
CONTINUE TO 2ND BASE.

10. NO TEES

11. ALL OTHER LITTLE LEAGUE RULES APPLY.

12. NO HOUSE RULES MAY BE USED.

13. NO AGREEMENTS BETWEEN COACHES TO CHANGE ANY RULES.
(ANY EXCEPTION MAY LEAD TO REMOVAL OF MANAGER AND OR COACHES).
DECISION OF TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE WILL BE FINAL.

14. THIS IS FOR FUN.
THERE ARE NO STANDINGS, NO PLAYOFFS.

MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CONDUCT OF THEIR COACHES, PLAYERS,PARENTS, AND THEMSELVES.
